The Rycote Windshield Kit 4 includes an MS2 Modular Suspension, Windshield 4 and Windjammer 4 in a Rycote Box.

The Rycote Windshield Kit 4 is a modular microphone windshield system including all that is needed for complete set up and use. A material called Hytrel is used on the end rings and shield. The material aids in creating the "dead" space necessary for quiet operation. Modular locking end rings provide quick and easy replacement of dented ends and modular extensions.

This kit also includes the Connbox, which has been designed to isolate and eradicate cable-borne noise to the microphone. The Connbox acts as a transition connector and anchor point for the microphone tail.

The "Lyre" suspensions webs replace the original hoops, O-rings and custom-size clips. The isolating properties of the Lyres are exceptional as they reduce low frequency handling noise to the point where another octave or more of bass response can be made use of. This is the most flexible and efficient suspension system that Rycote has ever produced.

Having 4 balanced XLR line/mic inputs with individual level and pan controls, the FMX-42 provides switchable (per channel) 48V phantom power and limiting, professional quality VU meters for accurate level setting, master level control, 1 k tone generator, 2 balanced XLR outputs (line/mic switchable), stereo mini-jack output for DV/HDV cameras and a headphone monitor with level control.

The H4n recorder features true X/Y stereo mics with selectable recording patterns. It can record up to 4 channels of audio, with rates up to 24-bit/96kHz. XLR/TRS combo inputs let you connect a variety of gear. The recorder also features a built-in speaker and a 3.5mm output for connecting external speakers. A USB 2.0 port makes it easy to transfer files to a Mac or PC, or use the H4n as a live audio interface. It has a backlit LCD for easy control, and can operate on AA batteries, USB power, or wall power for versatility.
